It’s that time of week again, and this week there are eight superb entries to take a look at, based on Chase Holfelder’s cover of Every Breath You Takego to the link for the song. Thanks everyone for taking part, I think that’s the most entries I’ve had the pleasure of reading in one week!

Ritu from But I Smile Anyway… – ‘Every Breath You Take’-FFF 41 – Ritu grabbed the stalker feel from the song and presented her own chilling and unsettling interpretation…

Sheldon Kleeman – FFF40 Every – in contrast to the other pieces, Sheldon wrote an upbeat and motivational piece which developed a fascinating take based off the song title

Curtis Bausse – Flash Fiction: Precious – twisting and turning, Curtis’ piece subverted traditional advice and emphasised the frail nature of human life

Ladyleemanila – ‘Every Breath You Take’ – FFF 41 – in her piece, Ladylee expertly captured the quiet passion and the incessant passion which drives the song

Julie from The Indecisive Eejit – Every Breath You take – FFF41 – this take responded to the anguished necessity that seems to drive the song, and left me in mind of several other pieces of culture (Speed and Faust)…

Actual Conversations With My Husband – Saturday Bonus – Every Breath You Take – a series of disjointed images are deftly brought together for the (disturbing!) conclusion of this piece

Muninn’s Memories – Every Breath You Take… – with an eerie twist, the tone of this piece brilliantly mirrored the minor key in the song

A Brummie Home and Abroad – Flash Fiction Foray 41: Every Breath You Take – this piece featured a sharp twist and a delightfully ambiguous ending
