Due to abnormal circumstances (I went on holiday), this week there are two editions of Flash Fiction Foray which need rounding up (double the hijinks too of course). The editions are on School’s Out by Alice Cooper and Feeling Good by Avicii; and we have a fantastic grand total of nine entries to take a look at!
The entrants here were Ritu, from But I Smile Anyway…, with a realistic description of most mornings for pretty much everyone with a more upbeat ending. wafflemethis covered the end of the last day rather that the beginning that Ritu wrote about, and had a piece containing high drama and a very neat link to the lyrics. Kritsa Yvonne had a topical piece describing a Greek holiday, and lastly Sheldon Kleeman had a poetical piece with a melancholy streak.
Ritu’s post: FFF #10 School’s Out
Wafflemethis’s post: FFF#10
Yvonne’s post: Flash Fiction – School’s Out
Sheldon’s post: FFF10
Ritu, from But I Smile Anyway… wrote a more philosophical piece, which contained a reflection on society. wafflemethis put a twist in the lyrics and made them into verse with an excellent recurring yet different line. Kritsa Yvonne focussed more on the natural world, with a beautiful descriptive piece. Ladyleemanila similarly had a natural theme, but conveyed it differently, through a wonderful poem. Last but by no means least, Curtis had a well carried out piece that had a decidedly eerie feel to it.
Ritu’s piece: FFF # 11 Feelin’ Good
Wafflemethis’s piece: FFF #11
Yvonne’s piece: Flash Fiction – Feeling Good
Ladyleemanila’s piece: ‘Feeling Good’ – FFF11
