Quote of the day

Today’s quote is…

Captain Haddock: Failed. There are plenty of others willing to call you a failure. A fool. A loser. A hopeless souse. Don’t you ever say it of yourself. You send out the wrong signal, that is what people pick up. Don’t you understand? You care about something, you fight for it. You hit a wall, you push through it. There’s something you need to know about failure, Tintin. You can never let it defeat you.

From The Adventures of Tintin (2011)

Another Tintin quote? Part of the same conversation as the last quote, the scene can be watched in the embeded Youtube video. I really love Haddock’s revival here, his motivational monologue really hits home for me, and I feel it holds true in life as well as in film.

  1. It’s true that there is a smell to failure even before it happens,or a sense of it,rite before your eye’s those internal sweats as though the faucet was turned on the fear pours out, been there too many times definitely can relate
