Today’s quote is…

“A man who cannot choose ceases to be a man” (Anthony Burgess)-A Clockwork Orange

In context, the quote is referring to (spoilers) the state’s attempts to reform our young delinquent Alex, who the novel follows. Review of A Clockwork Orange coming out on the 27 March (this Friday).

  1. This quote really hits home for me today, Matt, because of something his lordship said last night. We’re beginning to shop for a new (old) car, but he was having trouble making up his mind last night where he wanted to go to dinner as it was payday. He said, “How can I hope to make a good decision about a car if I can’t even decide where to go to dinner?” I could sense the frustration and depression in what he was saying. So I think that quote is so, so valid. Good choice.

    1. Thank you very much, I knew as I read it that I’d have to use it for something. Glad that it struck a chord, and thanks for commenting! Best of luck with the new car, and hope you had something to eat last night 🙂 Matt
